We then take photos of your teeth and using an iTero scanner, we take digital 3D images of your teeth too. This special Invisalign technology means that we can see how your teeth will change as they are being straightened and how they will look once you have finished Invisalign treatment. In this way, you get to see your new smile before you even start or pay for treatment!
Custom-made Invisalign braces
There are several aligners in your treatment plan and the exact number will depend upon how severe your orthodontic case is.
Your digital images are sent off to Invisalign and used to create your bespoke aligners. This process usually takes a couple of weeks before they are sent back to us in Solihull.
Wear your Invisalign aligners
Your Invisalign dentist will tell you how long to wear the first set of aligners before you change them and move on to the next set in the series. Usually, this happens on a weekly basis. Changing your aligners is necessary because each set is slightly different from the last one and allows for the gradual movement in your teeth.
For treatment to be successful, you must wear your Invisalign aligners for a minimum of 22 hours a day. We suggest that you only remove your aligners to brush your teeth and when you are eating and drinking anything other than cold water.
